Pet Portraits
Our pets are our family. They are our best friends. They fill us with light, and comfort us in darkness. Celebrate your relationship with your favorite furry friend with a custom painted pet portrait. It makes a great gift, too.
The Process
Send me a few of your favorite pictures of your pet. I will help you select the photo that will best translate into a painting, and to choose your background. Once I’ve completed the painting I will send you a photo for your final approval before shipping.
Kevin
This dog loves being under the covers, so what better way to portray him than wrapped in a blanket? (16” x 12”)
Lola
This is a small portrait of the client’s own little cutie. (10” x 8”)
Izzy
The client asked for a bold teal background on this one, which set off the rainbow collar beautifully. I really enjoyed working with all the different colours in this one. (1o” x 8”)
Ruby
(20” x 16”)
Mango
This piggy portrait was painted for a fundraising auction for Penny Lane Farm Sanctuary. Mango was found on the side of the highway, having fallen off of a transport truck. He now lives a happy and fear-free life with his pen-mate Maxwell at the sanctuary. (16” x 16”)
Stibbons
This memorial portrait was painted as a gift for a friend who lost their beloved budgie. (12” x 9”)
Hades
This pet portrait was commissioned by the client as a birthday gift for her father. Hades, now a full-grown dog, is captured here as a puppy. (12” x 16”)
George
This large painting was purchased by the client as a birthday gift for his girlfriend whose great dane, George, was nearing the end of his life. Old but still noble in his posture, George is captured enjoying the outdoors on a sunny autumn day. (24” x 20”)
Unknown
This was my first pet portrait, done as an exercise using a photograph I found in an Australian news article online. This little chihuahua started it all! (12” x 16'“)
